This practical animal husbandry, dairy & fisheries programme teaches you to work as a professional Pet Shop Assistant. Training is led by people who have spent years in the trade, so you learn the methods, shortcuts and safety habits that employers and customers expect - not just theory.
Trained Pet Shop Assistant professionals find work with dairy and poultry farms, fisheries, veterinary clinics, pet care businesses, cooperatives, or your own livestock unit.
How batches start: after you apply and are shortlisted, you join the waiting list for Pet Shop Assistant. As soon as we have enough shortlisted candidates for the same skill, the batch starts. Batch formation takes a minimum of 3 months and a maximum of 6 months; we keep you informed by phone and email.
The programme runs for 3 months with classes 4 hours a day, 2 days a week. Exceptional candidates can continue with a 6-month industry internship.
